Sterling silver livery chain with pekapeka (bat) and ringaringa (hand) links. This taonga relates to the battle of Ruapekapeka in 1845 which saw our tūpuna pitted against the British army in a struggle for the recognition of their tinorangatiratanga (sovereignty).
